You've spent a lot of time (and money) to create your product. Now, it's time to launch! One of the best ways to drum up interest is by creating an unboxing video. These fun videos have taken the internet by storm. Here are our three tips for making a great unboxing video.
1) Set the Stage
Your product should be the focus of your video. That means everything else in your frame should be simple and not distracting. Make sure your desk or table top is cleared off. Check that your background is plain and clean. Set one camera facing the presenter, and have one camera as a "bird's eye view" pointing straight down onto the table. This way we can get the full effect of actually opening your product for the first time.
2) Take Your Time
Typically we like to go for the fast-paced videos, but this one is a little different. Unboxing videos are all about the experience. Walk the viewers through every moment as you open the packaging. Explain what the box feels like in your hands. Show the audience every piece that comes inside of the box. Take the time to unwrap each and every part of the product. The unboxing video is a way for your audience to experience the excitement of opening a product before they buy.
3) Collaborate
Unboxing videos are very popular on YouTube. Do some research and find a couple of popular YouTubers who specialize in your type of products. Often if you give them free products, they will do a free unboxing video for your brand. This is a great way to reach new audiences without having to pay for advertising.
